Since arriving in the valley in 1980 I have been on the board of several non-profit organizations and believe that a seat on the Town Council is a natural extension of these activities.  These non-profit organizations included:

 

Board member – Comox Valley Family Life Association

 

President – S.A.V.A. (Sexual Assault Victims Anonymous) this was in the 1980’s when sexual assault of women and children didn’t happen and so our meetings were held in private and our organization was definitely under the radar.

 

Secretary to the Region K Council of the B.C. Federation of Foster Parents’ Associations.
